Dear Supporter of the Arts,
As of 2018, Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, Inc. (CAST) has been an exciting part of the Clearfield County community for 37 years and we are proud of the vast array of theatrical performances we present. We bring you classics so you can reminisce. We bring you the most recent shows available for community theater so you can thrill at discovering something new to love. We bring you comedies to make you laugh, dramas to make you think, ponder, and cry, mysteries to fill you with suspense, and musicals so you can sing along. We think it shows, too, that we enjoy bringing you these experiences as much as you enjoy attending.
However, CAST is not only a theater facility with a season of plays! CAST is, with the guidance of our committed board of directors, an organization dedicated to our mission: to foster the promotion of community interest in theatre, music, art, dance, photography, and theatrical production, for education, civic and benevolent purposes.
How do we achieve that? By sharing with our community a variety of arts throughout the year.
We’ve presented special music events throughout the years: rock, blues, country, and Christian rock. Many of the music concerts raise money and awareness for those in need. There are also our year-round traditions, Friday Night Live and Choral Society. Our facility welcomes other community organizations and CAST has been the home for karate lessons, writer's workshops, reader's theater and local worship services.
We are, also, ever mindful of the future which is why we seek to invest in the youth of our area. One of our ongoing missions is to develop, foster, and nurture a love of the arts in the young people of Clearfield and the surrounding communities. We offer youth programs such as show choir (High Voltage), the arts camp, (Seeds of Art), and a yearly show -- one completely geared for them as performers and as an audience. We value our younger generation and recognize the wealth of talent they possess.
