The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) is fortunate and proud to participate in the revitalization of downtown Clearfield. Many organizations have contributed to the growth of new businesses and have supported the revival of the arts in our fair city.
Since our renewal of CAST in September 2015, our theater has to-date produced fourteen full-length plays and musicals. That is a rate of a major production every two months! However, CAST is not only a theater facility with a season of plays. CAST is, with the guidance of our committed board of directors, an organization dedicated to our mission: to foster the promotion of community interest in theatre, music, art, dance, photography, and theatrical production, for education, civic and benevolent purposes.
We at CAST offer special music events throughout the year: rock, blues, country, and Christian rock, in addition to our year-round Friday Night Live and Clearfield Choral Society. Many of the music concerts raise money and awareness for those in need. Our facility welcomes other community organizations such as our recent event with Cen-Clear. CAST has been the home for karate lessons, writer's workshops, reader's theater and local worship services.
Most importantly, we have been the crucible for future talented participants in the arts. Our very successful youth programs such as show choir (High Voltage), the arts camp, (Seeds of Art), and our commitment to a yearly show -- completely geared for youth performers and audience -- all serve to fulfill our mission of arts education.
