As a supporter of the arts, you are aware of the high-quality programs CAST has brought to the Clearfield community since 1983. With your support, and the support of our community, we are proud of the vast array of theatrical productions, concerts, classes, and events we host year after year.
With the guidance of a committed board of directors, the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, Inc. (CAST), is dedicated to our mission to foster the promotion of community interest in theatre, music, art, dance, photography, and theatrical production for education, civic and benevolent purposes.
We ask for your continued support this year.
If you are interested in being part of the ongoing success of CAST, we invite you to become a member of CAST for the 2024-2025 membership year. CAST members enjoy the following benefits:
To become a member, please complete and return the membership form by mail, visit the CAST office during office hours on Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 and Thursdays 4:30-5:30, or visit www.ClearfieldArts.org/membership and complete your membership information online.
We hope you will join us at the annual Membership Meeting
Monday, September 9, 2024 at 6:00 pm.
Our meeting will be held in the CAST auditorium and will be livestreamed to our Facebook page. During this meeting, we will give updates on CAST programs and finances, introduce our board members, and those running for vacant positions, and announce the 2025 theater season.
If you are interested in running for a vacant board position, or wish to nominate someone, please contact CAST no later than September 2, 2024.
Voting for new board members can be completed online through the CAST website beginning September 6, 2024, or in person at the membership meeting. If you would like to vote online, a link will be emailed to CAST members using the email provided. Remember, only CAST members can vote for board members.
CAST continues to offer the opportunity to sponsor a seat and commemorate this sponsorship with a plaque. We also have a sponsor wall, located in the lobby. Information about these opportunities is included with this letter and is available online at www.ClearfieldArts.org/give.

The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, Inc. (CAST) Board of Directors are seeking board members to help lead our organization. Letters of interest can be submitted to CAST by emailing [email protected] or by mail at PO Box 613, Clearfield, PA 16830. Letters of interest must be received by July 31, 2024.

Position Overview:
Volunteer board members of CAST provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight to ensure the organization’s sustainability and growth. They collaborate with fellow board members to fulfill the theater’s mission to foster the promotion of community interest in theatre, art, music, dance, photography, and theatrical production for educational, civic, and benevolent purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance and Oversight
- Attend and actively participate in all board meetings, committees, and special events.
- Review and approve the organization’s budgets, financial decisions, and other major organizational decisions.
- Review and approve meeting minutes, committee recommendations, and other information provided to the board for review
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including clearances for board members, employees, and volunteers.
Strategic Planning
- Assist in the development and implementation of the theater’s strategic plan.
- Monitor progress toward achieving strategic goals and objectives.
Fundraising and Development
- Participate in fundraising activities and initiatives.
- Serve and actively participate on at least one special committee.
- Leverage personal and professional networks to support the theater’s fundraising goals.
- Make a personal financial contribution to the theater, demonstrating a commitment to its mission.
Community Engagement
- Serve as an ambassador for the theater within the community.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including patrons, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
Advocacy
- Advocate for the theater’s mission, programs, and services within the community.
- Engage in public relations and promotional activities to enhance the theater’s visibility and reputation.
